Farbstrom
Farbstrom is a private, ultra low-latency streaming platform for color-grading review sessions. A presenter broadcasts a feed (from OBS or a hardware encoder); invited viewers watch in near-real-time and join an optional voice/video conference, with chat, a shared pointer, and per-session file sharing.
The two interfaces
Farbstrom has two web interfaces:
- Admin — where you create and manage rooms, stream keys, shared files, branding, and account settings, and watch live host/stream metrics. See the Admin guide.
- Viewer — what participants open from a room link to join a session: watch the stream, turn on camera/mic, chat, and share their screen. See the Viewer guide.
How a session works
- An admin creates a room and assigns it a stream key.
- The presenter points their encoder (OBS / hardware) at the stream key and goes live.
- The admin shares the room link with viewers (and a separate presenter link for hosts).
- Viewers join, optionally wait to be admitted, then watch and participate.
- The admin can moderate — admit, mute, or remove participants — and end the room.
